Here at iBUYPOWER, we take our role as leaders in the gaming PC space seriously. As leaders of the pack, we feel that it’s necessary to provide top-of-the-line custom builds for gamers and creators alike despite the ever-changing landscape. As gamers and creators ourselves, we know that the demands and needs of our systems are always evolving. We’re here to listen and grow alongside you.

Our story begins with a mythical creature known as a Chimera – a beast made up of the best parts of different animals. We take inspiration from this creature by applying its principles to our custom builds. Much like the Chimera, we carefully select the best components and combine them to create a beastly gaming PC that’s greater than the sum of its parts.

WE HAVEN’T ALWAYS BEEN PERFECT, BUT WE’RE NOT AFRAID TO OWN UP TO OUR MISTAKES. WE’VE LEARNED FROM THE PAST AND ARE CONSTANTLY EVOLVING TO STAY AHEAD OF THE CURVE. THERE’S ALWAYS MORE TO LEARN, MORE TO DO, AND MORE WAYS TO IMPROVE – AFTER ALL, STILL WATERS DON’T MAKE GOOD SAILORS.

While we take our mission seriously, we’re not afraid to have a little fun along the way. We like to think of ourselves as heroic jesters – we’re here to save the day (and your wallets) with unique and expressive desktop systems, but we’re not above poking a little fun at ourselves. We’re witty, we’re self-deprecating, but we’re also poised and confident.

1999

iBUYPOWER founded

First HQ in Monterey Park, CA in a 7000 sq ft warehouse.

2005

iBUYPOWER wins PC of the Month from Maximum PC magazine

The recognition from print media solidified iBP as a brand, featuring the Titanium XP.

2006

The iBUYPOWER 'Tank' PC case is shown off

'Nearly indestructible,' the case demonstrated by Tom's Hardware can 'withstand the weight of a 300-pound person and survive a fall out from a third-story window.'

2009

iBUYPOWER's signature Chimera Killer Special Edition Gaming PC debut

Designed around the rising popularity of MMOs and online FPS games.

2013

Revolt SFF PC Debuts

One of the first ITX systems to house a full-sized GPU.

2013

iBUYPOWER Masters CS:GO Tournament launches

First major iBP led, esport event.

2014

iBUYPOWER builds Varsity Esports Arena with Robert Morris University

IBP sponsored the construction of RMU’s esports arena, paving the way for iBP’s collegiate support.

2016

Sponsored UCI to help open the UCI Esports Arena

Located at the heart of UCI’s campus and powered by 72 premium iBUYPOWER gaming desktops, the Esports Arena is open to all – students, staff, faculty, alumni and guests.

2018

National Association of Collegiate Esports Partners with iBUYPOWER

IBP becomes official gaming PC provider for the 90 collegiate institutions that NACE supports.

2020

iBUYPOWER becomes the official PC of Eastern College Athletic Conference Esports.

Continuing the trend, iBP is the Official PC Partner of ECAC to support student-athletes.

2021

HYTE Founded
